An enjoyable activity I've engaged in during the two weeks since the end of school is settle into reading mode. I tend to do this in the summer. On my Shelfari below are 3 books I've just finished and thoroughly enjoyed!
I don't tend to do "light" reading in the summer months. I, rather, gravitate more into the darker reads. Gillian Flynn's two novels are perfect examples of dark and delicious reads! Not for the faint of heart, but worth curling up with for icy shadows! Flynn could be Stephen King's daughter! :)
The other book, by Scott Blackwood, is not as dark, but haunting in a lazy ride down a tangled river of people and time in an Austin suburb. What a wonderful writer, what a way with words this man has!! Loved it!
So, if you're tired of the lighter fare and still want a good way to spend an afternoon or night or two ( WARNING: Flynn's books are of the can't-put-down-until-the-end category!) I recommend any and all three of these page turners!
At the moment I'm half-way through BONEMAN'S DAUGHTERS by Ted Dekker. Again, not for the faint of heart!
Here's a small corner where I share bits and pieces of my life, internal and external frustrations, joys and ramblings that float to the surface of my days.
Welcome friends and family!

Da Boys!
Front and Center!
These two creatures who have locked up my heart will be front and center in this little corner of blogosphere!
